Construction Labourer
Construction laborers work on building sites, assisting with various tasks like lifting materials, digging, and ensuring the smooth progress of construction projects.
Day-to-day tasks
- prepare the ground: get things ready by marking out and digging trenches for building foundations and drains
- build forms for concrete: set up panels to hold concrete in place until it's strong
- strengthen structures: bend and attach bars to make concrete structures stronger
- make walls from steel: join sheets of steel to create walls that hold back dirt - it's called steel piling
- pour concrete: lay down concrete for the base, floors, and beams of buildings
- work on roads and paths: help with road projects, fix highways, and put down curbs and paving
- supply materials to workers: make sure the other workers have what they need, like bricks, mortar, and wood

Industry Qualifications
Whilst there are no formal qualifications required as such, you will be required to have a Construction Isle Of Man Accreditation Card which is needed to be on site.
