Web Designer

Responsibilities or Duties

In this role, you will use your creative and technical skills to design new websites and redesign existing ones, meeting the needs of the user and ensuring that they are effective.

1. Creating and Taking Care of Websites:
   - Design, make, and look after websites.
2. Showing Ideas with Models:
   - Make models (prototypes) to show how your website ideas will look.
3. Talking with Clients:
   - Have meetings with clients to decide how the website should look.
4. Using Systems for Content:
   - Use special systems to manage the content on the website.
5. Finding Creative Solutions:
   - Think of creative ways to make sure the website meets what users want.
6. Checking Who Uses the Website:
   - Look at numbers to see who is using the website and make reports about it.
7. Reporting Problems:
   - Tell the IT support team if there are technical problems to make sure the website works well.

Skills required

• Good understanding of graphic design, visual communication or web design process
• General knowledge of computer operating systems and software
• Strong attention to detail
• An eye for design and a creative flair
• Good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking skills
• Experience or knowledge of analysing statistics and website data
• Clear communicator, verbal and written
• Able to work in a team environment
