Join the busy Central Support and Change Division to provide high-quality administrative support. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone organised, detail-focused, and confident working under pressure.
You’ll handle general admin tasks, support meetings, maintain records, and assist colleagues during busy times. Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general admin support (emails, filing, photocopying, etc.)
- Organise meetings (set up rooms, send invites, circulate papers)
- Maintain manual and digital records
- Take and prepare meeting notes (training can be provided)
- Manage shared inboxes and support project tasks
- Provide cover for senior admin staff during absences
- Use digital or AI tools to improve admin processes
Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Office admin experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good time management and ability to prioritise
- Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work under pressure and adapt quickly
- Willing to take notes in meetings and learn new systems
- Positive attitude and a “can-do” approach
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Experience working within Isle of Man Government
- Experience using AI tools in admin work
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments
- Able to work independently and show initiative
- Evidence of continued personal development
- Isle of Man Worker status
