Brakesman - Casual MER

The Brakesman operates trams on the Snaefell Mountain Railway, ensuring passenger safety and comfort. Key responsibilities include assisting passengers, selling tickets, preparing and cleaning trams, and handling basic maintenance. Flexibility for weekend, holiday, and unsociable hours is required.

Essential Skills:  
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Friendly and professional demeanor, even under pressure.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Physically fit for safety-critical tasks.
• Willingness to attend personal track safety training.

Desirable Skills:  
• Knowledge of the Isle of Man tourism / hospitality industry.
• Experience with cash handling.
• Familiarity with tram operations or similar roles.
