General Duties:

• Organise and attend Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings for cancer patients, providing administrative support.
• Track cancer patients’ progress, maintaining accurate records on the Somerset Cancer Register (SCR) and patient databases.
• Communicate with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels.
• Ensure patients are monitored according to Cancer Waiting Times (CWTs).
• Provide updates on patient progress to managers as required.
• Assist with training new staff and covering colleagues during leave.

Essentials:

• 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including English and Maths).
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with data entry, working in an office environment, and using IT systems like Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Desirables:

• Experience in healthcare administration, handling medical records, or liaising with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of cancer terminology and the Somerset Cancer Register (SCR).
• Experience taking minutes in formal meetings and working with sensitive personal data.

Salary & benefits

£26,537 to £32,010 per annum (pro rata if part time)

This post is a limited term appointment until 31 March 2025. Permanent and part-time work considered
