Building Site Supervisor
Building site supervisors oversee construction projects, managing and coordinating activities on-site to ensure that work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to plans and regulations.
Day-to-day Tasks
- look at construction sites: visit and check how things are going
- check building rules: make sure the work follows the right building regulations
- see if the work matches the plans: make sure it's being done as planned
- measure and test materials: check the quality of building materials by measuring and taking samples
- find problems and suggest solutions: identify issues and recommend ways to fix them
- keep an eye on progress: monitor how the work is moving along
- write reports: make reports for construction managers and clients, explaining what's happening on the site
